Maintenance Manual

How to cherish your vase for years to come.

At JAYBELLA, each vase is more than a decorative object — it’s a crafted companion to your home. Whether hand-thrown by artisans or carefully selected for its sculptural elegance, your vase deserves thoughtful care to maintain its beauty and integrity over time.

Here’s how to keep your vase looking its best:

🧼 Cleaning Your Vase

For Glazed Ceramic Vases:

  • Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth.

  • Use mild, non-abrasive soap if necessary.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals or scouring sponges — they can damage the surface or glaze.

  • Let the vase air dry fully before placing it back in its setting.

For Unglazed / Matte-Finish Vases:

  • Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth.

  • For deeper cleaning, use a barely damp microfiber cloth and dry immediately afterward.

  • Avoid soaking in water, as porous ceramic may absorb moisture.

💧 Water Use Guidelines

  • Water-safe vases (as indicated in the product description) can hold fresh flowers and water. Empty and rinse the vase regularly to prevent residue buildup or discoloration.

  • Decorative-only vases (often unglazed or with delicate finishes) are best suited for dried botanicals or as sculptural pieces. These should not be filled with water.

If in doubt, please refer to the care note in your product's description — or contact us for guidance.

🌿 Placement Tips

  • Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods — it can fade colour or affect surface texture over time.

  • Place your vase on stable, flat surfaces to prevent tipping.

  • Add felt pads underneath for protection on polished or delicate surfaces.

  • Keep out of reach of small children or curious pets if your vase is particularly lightweight or top-heavy.

🛠 Handling & Storage

  • Always lift your vase with both hands, especially if it’s tall or has a narrow base.

  • When not in use, store in a dry, temperature-stable environment, ideally wrapped in soft cloth or tissue to prevent scratches or chipping.

  • Avoid stacking vases directly against each other — ceramic is fragile and can chip when knocked.

❤️ A Few Extra Notes

  • Minor surface variations, gentle imperfections, or small specks are often part of the handmade process — they are not flaws, but signatures of character and craftsmanship.

  • Should your vase develop any issues due to a manufacturing defect, we encourage you to reach out — your satisfaction is important to us.
